Branson Trip

Last week Andrew and I were on Spring Break from school and were lucky enough to get away for a few days. Andrews Aunt Debbie and Uncle Donald rented a condo in Branson, MO and invited us to join them. We packed up and left Thursday when Andrew got off work and came home on Sunday. We stopped by my uncle Timmy's house on the way home for a quick visit as well. Andrew's little brother joined us on the trip and we all had so much fun! We did lots of shopping, went to the Ripley' s Believe it or Not Museum, ate at Joe's Crab Shack, and rode the ducks. Yep, that's what I said, rode the ducks. It's a military vehicle that was invented to travel on land and then go into the water like a boat. They modified it and now use it as a tourist attraction. We went up in the mountains and saw a beautiful view of Branson and then onto the lake where I held onto Andrew for dear life. I HATE boats!! It was fun and Captain Ron made it very enjoyable. We had a great time and can't thank Donald and Debbie enough for such an awesome trip!

One Year Ago

Today marks the one year anniversary of my grandpa's death. I can't believe it's been one year already. I miss him so much and even after a year I'm still not completely over his death. It just all happened so fast, too fast. I wish he was here, but then I remember the pain he was in and realize he's in a better place. It kills me to think he's not going to see me walk down the aisle next year or hold my children. I loved him so much he was "My grandpa" and I was his Lisa Marie or Little Britches, haha. My grandma always said she didn't know who was ate up with who more. I wish I could feel his scruffy face for one last kiss. I still remember how he always smelled like chewing tobacco and Irish spring soap. Today's a rough day but we will all get through it, because we know he's always with us. Writing this is the first time I've cried today and then I laughed, because I can hear grandpa saying just as he did a year ago, "Stop your crying, my girls are much prettier when they're smiling." I love you grandpa and I miss you every day and just as you promised I'll see you again one day!

Can't Wait To Get Away!

Finally, it's spring break!!! Andrew and I will be leaving Thursday when we get off work to go up to Branson! whoohooo, a much needed break for both of us! Andrew's Aunt Debbie and Uncle Donald planned the trip for us and rented a condo, so we are looking forward to spending some time with them as well as being away. In house news we are waiting a couple weeks before we make an offer, it is said that the interest rates could drop an entire percent within the next couple of weeks, so we will see about that! Yesterday my friend Ashley and I decided on a spur of the moment kind of thing that we wanted to go get mystic tans. So off we went to Evansville where we both had our first mystic tan experience. I was a little scared, I didn't want to be orange or blotchy, but I am very satisfied with the results! It looks just like a normal tan and it only took 60 seconds(and then 6 hours for it to take full effect) and Andrews debit card and I am no longer Casper! We really had a great weekend! Andrew and I went out Saturday night and got to enjoy some us time. Andrew also bought me a really cute pair of shoes, but I don't really have anything to wear them with, hmmm I guess that's why we're going to Branson! Well that was our fun filled weekend, I will def. post again when we get back from our trip and try to put up some new pics!! I also have to say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!

Weekend Together!

Andrew and I finally got spend some much needed time together this weekend! I cooked dinner Saturday night (Nacho Cheese Chicken, home-made mashed potatoes, broccoli and rice casserole, and crescent rolls) and then we went and spent some time at my grandmas. My grandma used to be a realtor so we ran some numbers with her on a house. It seems like Andrew and I can afford to move out and buy our first house!! As excited as we are it's also very scary! With the new tax cut Obama passed for first time homeowners it's kind of hard to pass up. So we shall see where this all goes and if we're getting ahead of ourselves. We stayed up until 2 o'clock this morning talking and running some more numbers, it's a lot to think about. Needless to say we didn't get out of bed until about 10:30 this morning, but I did fix Granny Annie's famous chocolate gravy and biscuits this morning. Andrew has been asking for it for two weeks and I finally made it. Gotta love good ol' Arkansas cookin! Today is also my dad's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

So Im A Slacker!

I know it's been awhile since I updated this thing, but I'm a busy woman, OK?! We don't have any new wedding news, we're just kind of letting it all go until it gets closer. There's no need to stress about it now. I'm still trying to lose weight. It's been a little over two weeks and I've lost around 5 pounds. Not much, but enough to let me know what I'm doing is working. I just wish it would all come off like right now!! I've been counting calories and trying to just eat healthier all around. I am also working out with my friend Ashley six days a week. We play tennis, walk/run, or do a biggest loser workout DVD that we have. We're actually enjoying it, but it makes for a long day! Two more weeks and we will be on spring break from school!! Andrew and I both desperately need a break from school, we will still be working, but it will be nice to not have to worry about school for a week. Andrew and I are trying to plan a weekend to go up to St.Louis in the near future to see his Uncle Donald and Aunt Debbie and My Uncle Timmy and family. A mini vacation would be very nice! Keep your fingers crossed we can work it out!
